Website of the Year Banner

Welcome to the website of England IV, a chapter of the Blue Knights® Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. Please feel free to browse our site and find out who we are and what we do.  Also note that all external links will open in new windows. Be sure to check out the News page for the latest updates on what's going on. If you want to know more about us then below is a short history of the Blue Knights and how we came into being.

The Blue Knights® is a non-profit fraternal organization consisting of active and retired law enforcement men & women who enjoy riding motorcycles.  In the Spring of 1974, several law enforcement officers from the Bangor, Maine (USA) area met and and formed a small, local motorcycle club.  The rest, as they say, is history.  Soon, Blue Knight chapters were being formed in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and beyond.  With the addition of Canada, and later Australia, the Blue Knights became an international organization.

As of November 2007, we have 598 chapters established in 24 countries including one commonwealth with 19,640 members representing 31 different countries worldwide. To find out more about the Blue Knights®, then click "About BKs" on the left.

To find out what's happening in the chapter, check out the "News" page. But for the headlines, the news scroller above will let you know the more immediate news. All the current Chapter officers are shown on the "Chapter Officers" page where you can see exactly who they are. The "Up & Coming" page lists the latest events taking plae in the chapter. There is also a download available for all the future events in the UK and Europe at the top of the page. "Past Events" has photo galleries of events that England IV have held in the past or taken part in.

If you're thinking about joining the Blue Knights®, then you will definitely need to go to the "Membership" page, where you can find out about the qualifications needed to become a Blue Knight. There is also an email link to use to get further information on joining England IV. The next couple of pages on the site are links pages to all the other chapters in the United Kingdom & Ireland Conference as well as links to the police forces that the England IV chapter area covers. There are also links to other organisations that are involved in Law Enforcement and as such their employees could be eligible to become Blue Knights. The buttons at the top, which will always be visible, will bring you back to this home page; to Blue Knights® International our parent organisation; to the Blue Knights European Conference and finally to the United Kingdom & Ireland Conference websites.

England IV covers a large portion of the South of England and the Channel Islands and despite the large area, we try to organise rides, rallies and events throughout the Chapter that appeal to everyone. Our aim is to promote the good side of motorcycling to the general public and to liaise with like minded people from all over the world at various rallies and events. We cater for all ages, all riding capabilities, and all sizes of machines. With members in West Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Buckinghamshire, The Isle of Wight, and The Channel Isles, there is always someone near you. All are welcome to come along to our meetings and rides.

We have two meetings a month; the first, an evening meet on the second Wednesday of each month at "The West Meon Pub & Eatery", formerly known as the West Meon Hutt, located on the crossroads of the A32 and the A272, which is situated about a mile or so north of West Meon Village in Hampshire; and the another on the fourth Sunday of the month, again at the "The West Meon Pub & Eatery".  Click on the "Up & Coming Events" button on the left, where you will find links to maps of our meeting sites.
